Last week, Eko Flavours joined the lineup at Motherland Festival 2025, headlining the event’s culinary programme.
The festival served as a major cultural gathering, and our team was present to ensure that Lagos’ culinary narrative was part of the conversation.
About Motherland Festival
Motherland Festival 2025 was a three-day cultural expo designed to unite Nigeria, Africa, and the global diaspora. The event focused on five key areas: culture, business, innovation, creativity, and heritage.
Serving as a global stage, the festival hosted a diverse mix of attendees, including global thinkers, entrepreneurs, cultural leaders, policymakers, and creatives. Its core mission was to strengthen cultural identity and build pan-African connections.
Eko Flavours’ Role
Within this broader cultural celebration, Eko Flavours led the culinary aspect of the festival. Our presence was a strategic collaboration aimed at spotlighting African cuisine and empowering emerging chefs.
For two days, Eko Flavours Season 2 Champions took to the stage for culinary demonstrations. The activation allowed us to showcase local ingredients and creative excellence to the high-value audience segments present at the festival, including diaspora returnees and international guests.
Partner Support
Our activation was enabled by our partners, who provided the necessary infrastructure and ingredients for the sessions:
- Woodscope supplied the mobile kitchenette stations, ensuring a professional cooking setup.
- Golden Penny acted as the official food brand, powering the core ingredients used by the chefs.
- Fiesta provided the protein and dairy elements, specifically chicken and cheese, for the dishes prepared on-site.
Participating in the Motherland Festival allowed Eko Flavours to align with a global platform celebrating Nigerian excellence. It provided an opportunity to engage with a wide audience and reinforce the importance of culinary culture alongside business and innovation.
