Eko Flavours
About Us
As a standalone entity within the broader ecosystem of Culinara Group, Eko Flavours focuses on discovering and nurturing culinary talent, promoting sustainable food practices, and engaging food enthusiasts across Lagos, Nigeria, and Africa.
Our Inspiration
Eko Flavours is a culinary initiative created to spotlight and strengthen Lagos’s rich food culture, starting with Lagos. Conceived by the Culinara Group in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture & Food Systems, it is a long-term platform built to recognize culinary talent, promote Nigerian cuisine, and support innovation in the food space.
Launched in 2024, the initiative aims to create real visibility for Nigerian chefs, food creators, and culinary entrepreneurs. Through live competitions, school-based challenges, mentorship, and citywide engagement, Eko Flavours positions food as a cultural asset, a career path, and a driver of economic opportunity. It serves both as a stage for established professionals and a launchpad for emerging talents.
Our Vision & Mission
Eko Flavours aims to become Africa’s most prestigious culinary competition, recognized both regionally and internationally as a beacon of culinary excellence, innovation, and cultural pride. By spotlighting the richness of Nigerian and African cuisines, we position food not just as nourishment, but as a powerful medium for storytelling, identity, and economic empowerment.
At the core of our mission is a commitment to celebrating culinary culture while promoting sustainable food practices and advocating for systemic reform. Through mentorship, competition, and public engagement, we encourage chefs and home cooks alike to embrace local ingredients, champion food sustainability, and contribute to healthier, more resilient food systems.

Our Story
EKO FLAVOURS JUNIOR: Flavour Of The Future
Eko Flavours Junior was born out of a dream, to awaken the culinary spirit in every child and redefine what it means to learn, lead, and live through food. In the heart of Lagos, where culture and cuisine intersect in vibrant harmony, we envisioned a platform that empowers young students to express themselves creatively through cooking.
We saw the kitchen as more than a place for meals, it’s a lab for innovation, a stage for confidence-building, and a gateway to future careers. Eko Flavours Junior invites children aged 8–16 to step into the spotlight, explore their culinary talents, and compete with heart and imagination. From classic Nigerian dishes to playful fusions, these kids bring fresh energy to the table, turning food into magic.

Our Inspiration
The initiative is inspired by the boundless energy, curiosity, and creative potential of the Nigerian child. Eko Flavours Junior champions food as an educational tool and an engine for empowerment. We believe that by nurturing food skills early, we not only build future chefs, we inspire leaders, problem solvers, and cultural ambassadors.
This is more than a competition; it’s a movement shaping the food culture of tomorrow, one young chef at a time.
