Eko Flavours can help me overcome the financial and knowledge barriers standing between me, culinary school, and owning my own food truck.

Culinary journey

From self-taught cook to aspiring professional chef — a journey built on hustle, curiosity, resilience, and a deep love for food.

Cooking inspiration

My cooking is inspired by culture, curiosity, childhood memories, and the thrill of turning ordinary ingredients into something unforgettable.

Signature dish

My signature dish is Spagnation, my take on Nigerian-style spaghetti. It represents my journey as a self-taught cook—from creating meals with simple, familiar ingredients to experimenting with flavours and techniques. I wanted to take something as everyday as spaghetti and make it exciting, expressive, and uniquely mine.

Why I want to participate

I want to participate in this cooking show because I believe food is the one thing I’ve always been able to express myself through. I’m a self-taught cook who has built my journey from curiosity, hustle, and a genuine love for food. This platform would challenge me, expose me to new techniques and perspectives, and give me the opportunity to prove that you don’t need to have a perfect beginning to create something great. I’m here to learn, compete, and show people what I’m capable of.

What winning would mean

Winning would mean a lot more than just taking home the prize for me. It would give me the opportunity to attend culinary school, sharpen my skills, and gain the professional training I’ve always wanted. It would also help me build my career, create better opportunities for myself, grow my food brand, and inspire other self-taught cooks who are trying to make something out of their passion. Most importantly, it would be a step toward becoming the professional chef I’ve always dreamed of becoming.
