Culinary journey

It all started when I was nine years old. My mum went to deliver her last child, and there was no one at home to cook, so I began experimenting with cooking. While I was in the university, I joined a skill-acquisition program in catering. After graduation, I enrolled in another catering program organized by my church and also took a beginner’s baking class. My passion did not stop there, I took the Hilda Baci online cooking class several times. Today, I am currently a student of Reddish Culinary School , pursuing a Chef Diploma Degree in Patisserie, and my dream of becoming a chef is gradually becoming a reality. I would be honoured to participate in this competition because it is an indigenous competition that connects me to my roots and reminds me of where my culinary journey began.

Cooking inspiration

The satisfaction it brings to people who I care about.

Signature dish

I have a background in patisserie. So, I could infuse patisserie into savory cuisine. A well plated artisan bread with African ingredients, vegetables and fries could serve as my signature dish.

Why I want to participate

I would like to connect with people, learn, grow and most importantly showcase my culinary skills.

What winning would mean

Winning would definitely change my life and open doors of opportunities!
