- Business challenge
- One of the major challenges I hope this show will help me overcome is the issue of accessibility and delivery for my business. I want to grow my business into a food truck, which would allow me to take my food directly to different locations and reach more customers without being limited by distance or delivery challenges. Having a food truck would bring my brand closer to my customers, increase my visibility, and create more opportunities to grow and serve people through the food and treats I love making.
Culinary journey
My culinary journey started as early as Primary 5, when I discovered my love for cooking. Over the years, that passion grew into baking, and I became a self taught baker, learning through practice, experimentation, and a lot of curiosity.
Today, cooking and baking are more than just skills to me; they are creative outlets that allow me to express myself, explore flavours, and create something people can truly enjoy. I’m still learning, growing, and pushing myself to become better with every dish I create.
Cooking inspiration
What inspires my cooking is the joy of creating something from scratch and seeing people genuinely enjoy it. I’m inspired by different flavours, cultures, and the endless possibilities that ingredients offer. Most of all, I love the feeling of bringing people together through food and turning a simple meal into a memorable experience.
Signature dish
My signature dish is Nigerian Fried Rice.
It is a dish that brings together my love for vibrant flavours, colour, healthy vegetables and creativity. I love giving this familiar classic my own touch, carefully balancing each ingredient to create a dish that is flavourful, colourful, and satisfying. It is one of those dishes that reminds me why I fell in love with cooking in the first place. It is also one of my favourite foods when paired with soft plantain.
Why I want to participate
This competition is an opportunity for me to challenge myself, showcase my creativity and skills, learn from other talented cooks, and step outside my comfort zone. Most importantly, I want to prove to myself that the passion I have nurtured for so many years can take me somewhere meaningful. I believe this experience could be a major step in my culinary journey and inspire me to dream even bigger.
What winning would mean
It will mean the entire world to me.
