Culinary journey
The more I cook, I the more I am intrigued by what you can make with food. Creating a new recipe, from the ideation stage to the execution stage comes with so much thrill and education. Cooking makes me feel like I can do anything.
I can be bold in the kitchen and that makes me bold in life. Nothing is wasted in food, you can get a 100 variations and new dishes from just one ingredient or a mix of ingredients. Food really portrays the beauty of life.
I have not had the opportunity of going to culinary school but in the time that I’ve had, I have relied on online sources to increase my knowledge on certain skills in cooking. I has recently started exploring cuisines around the world and comparing them with our methods here in Nigeria and I have learnt that what makes a good meal is in the basics.
As I continue in my journey, I want to stay curious and ready to learn not just how a good meal is made but how it came to be and how it evolve.

Curiosity! I keep guessing, what if there’s another way to make this dish? What if I can create a whole new recipe? How affordable can a good meal be?
Signature dish
My signature dish is a classic jollof spaghetti but I have made it my own.
I follow my recipe and it’s still jollof spaghetti but when you eat it, you will feel like this taste can only be achieved when I make it.
You will taste it and say, oh this is Uzzy’s Spag!
Why I want to participate
I want to put my knowledge to test. This is a huge platform and I want to see how far I can go.
It’s one thing to hope you have a platform, it’s another thing to stretch out your hands to get it, I am stretching now.
What winning would mean
Winning will mean first, that I can do anything as long as I am willing to try.
Winning will also mean that there’s more for me in life and of course, it will make my friends and family proud.
