- Eko flavours would give me the exposure, mentoring and networking opportunities.
Help me face my fears of stage fright and help me face the fears of competing under pressure.
Culinary journey
My culinary journey started from my love for cooking for my roommates and my desire to create meals that make people happy. What began as a passion gradually grew into Goodies Culinary, my food business, where I have had the opportunity to develop my skills through cooking for different people, experimenting with recipes and constantly learning.
Over time, I have intentionally sought out opportunities to grow beyond what I already knew. Participating in Delicious or Disaster challenged me to think creatively, cook under pressure and present my food in a competitive environment. I also recently completed a culinary internship of 2 weeks, where I gained practical experience in professional kitchen structure, preparation, measurements, workflow and new recipes.
My journey is still evolving, and that is one of the things I love most about it. I am constantly learning, experimenting and pushing myself to become a better cook while staying connected to the Nigerian flavours that inspire me.
Cooking inspiration
I genuinely love making people happy through food, and there is something incredibly fulfilling about watching someone enjoy a meal I’ve cooked.
Signature dish
My signature dish is pasta. I love pasta because of how versatile it is and how much room it gives me to experiment with different flavours, textures and ingredients. I enjoy creating rich, well-seasoned sauces and pairing them with pasta in ways that feel comforting yet exciting.
What makes pasta special to me is that I can take simple, familiar ingredients and transform them into something memorable. I love building flavour from the base, balancing my seasoning and finishing the dish thoughtfully. It is one of those dishes that allows my creativity to really come through
Why I want to participate
I want to challenge myself, step outside my comfort zone and put myself out there. I want to test my creativity and skills in a new environment, learn from the experience and see how far I can push myself as a cook. I also believe that opportunities like this help me grow, build confidence and expose my brand to a wider audience.
What winning would mean
Winning would mean a lot to me. It would be a huge personal achievement and a beautiful recognition of how far I have come on my journey. It would also give my brand, Goodies Culinary Lagos, greater visibility and open doors to new opportunities. Most importantly, it would be a reminder to me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. It would be a testimony that the courage to put myself out there and keep pursuing my dreams was worth it.
