- Business challenge
- One of the biggest challenges I face is turning my passion and talent for cooking into a bigger, more sustainable culinary brand. I have the passion, creativity, and determination, but limited access to the right opportunities, mentorship, exposure, and resources has sometimes made it difficult to take my skills to the next level.
Eko Flavours would help me overcome these challenges by giving me a platform to learn, grow, connect with other talented people, and showcase what I can do. More than just winning, I want to gain the knowledge and exposure that will help me build a successful food brand and inspire others through my cooking.
I believe this opportunity can take me from simply having a passion for food to creating something truly impactful with Nigerian flavours at the heart of it.
Culinary journey
My culinary journey began with a genuine passion for food and creativity. Over time, I’ve developed my skills through culinary training, hands-on experience, and continuous learning. From Nigerian and continental dishes to grilling, pasta, and event catering, every experience has helped me grow into a more confident and versatile chef.
Cooking inspiration
What inspires my cooking is my love for food, creativity, and the joy of seeing people enjoy what I create. I’m inspired by Nigerian flavors, different food cultures, and the opportunity to turn simple ingredients into something memorable. Every dish I make is a reflection of my passion, creativity, and desire to keep learning and becoming better.
Signature dish
My signature dish is my Jollof Rice with Pepper Turkey. It’s a flavorful Nigerian-style jollof rice cooked with a rich blend of peppers, tomatoes, and aromatic spices, served with juicy, well-seasoned turkey coated in a delicious pepper sauce. What makes it special to me is the bold flavor, the perfect balance of spice, and the comfort it brings with every bite. It’s a dish that truly represents my love for Nigerian cuisine and my creativity in the kitchen.
Why I want to participate
I want to participate because I see this as an opportunity to challenge myself, showcase my culinary skills, learn from other talented chefs, and gain valuable experience. I’m passionate about cooking, and I believe this competition will help me grow, build my confidence, and take my culinary journey to the next level.
What winning would mean
Winning would mean so much to me because it would be a recognition of my hard work, passion, and growth as a chef.
