Culinary journey

My Culinary journey can be said to be one of growth, discovery and turning passion into purpose

I started my hospitality journey in 2022, during my first two years of schooling I fell in love with the culinary part of hospitality.
I have always loved cooking for people, but to me it was a duty that I later grew passionate about. Cooking to me is no longer just a duty/responsibility, it is a part of me, it is art and I love creating arts.

Cooking is also a way of me telling someone that I care, appreciate and love them

Cooking inspiration

As a child that grew up in a house that had strangers turned into family I saw how happy and grateful those people were whenever my mum cooked for them

Food was one thing that made me have as many siblings as I could have today

My Mum and the satisfaction people get from eating was what inspired my love for cooking

Signature dish

I can’t say it’s my signature dish for sure, but if there is any food I will choose to make to impress someone even when I don’t feel like cooking it would be Semo with Egusi soup

Why I want to participate

I have gone through videos on YouTube and Ekoflavours page on instagram and I already see it as a platform for growth

It is also an opportunity for me to put myself out there and stop feeling like I am not enough

What winning would mean

JOY
It will bring so much joy to me and mostly to my loved ones who has always seen what I don’t believe I have
