Business challenge
Eko Flavours could help me overcome the challenge of gaining greater visibility and access to opportunities that would allow me to showcase Nigerian cuisine and my Edo heritage to a wider audience.

As a chef, I have the passion, creativity, and determination to grow, but building a culinary brand and reaching the right platforms can be challenging. Eko Flavours would provide valuable exposure, mentorship, and support, helping me strengthen my skills, expand my network, and connect with people who can help take my work further.

It would also help me overcome the challenge of proving that traditional Nigerian flavours can be presented in innovative, exciting, and world-class ways. With the right platform, I could inspire aspiring chefs, create more opportunities for others, and contribute to putting Nigerian food on a bigger stage.

For me, winning would be the beginning of a greater journey—not the end.

Culinary journey

My journey has also taken me beyond cooking in my kitchen. I have had opportunities to share my skills through catering, cooking classes, food content creation, kitchen-staff training, and television appearances. Every experience has challenged me to grow, learn, and become more confident as a chef.

Cooking inspiration

Seeing the happiness on people’s faces when they taste my food inspires me to keep learning and improving. Every meal I create is an opportunity to express my creativity and make someone feel special.

Signature dish

My signature dish is Chef Eva’s Native Jollof Rice, a rich and flavorful Nigerian rice dish inspired by my love for traditional flavours and my Edo heritage.
What makes my Native Jollof special is the way I combine carefully selected local ingredients, fresh peppers, aromatic spices, and traditional cooking techniques to create a deep, smoky and unforgettable taste. I also love using the right balance of texture, aroma, and seasoning so that every spoonful tells a story.

Why I want to participate

I want to use this platform to showcase the richness of Nigerian cuisine and my Edo heritage, while demonstrating how traditional flavours can be presented creatively and confidently.
I also want to learn from other talented chefs, gain new experiences, and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I believe participation will give me the exposure, knowledge, and confidence to grow Chef Eva into a stronger culinary brand.

What winning would mean

Most importantly, winning would remind me that dreams can become reality when passion meets courage, consistency, and hard work. I would carry the win with gratitude and use it not just for myself, but as an opportunity to inspire others and put Nigerian food on a bigger stage.
