Culinary journey
It started at home with my curiosity about everyday cooking and quickly grew into a passion for understanding ingredients and technique. HBS provided the foundation for me which are knife skills, sauces, and high-pressure practicals—while teaching precision, speed, and respect for food.
Today my focus remains on refining my skills, building speed and leadership, and staying creative under pressure. The path continues with specialization, further experience, and the same core drive: cooking with care and purpose.
Cooking inspiration
The act of feeding others keeps me going. Knowing that a plate can comfort, surprise, or simply nourish someone at the end of a long day is the quiet purpose behind every service. That is what inspires my cooking—curiosity, respect, craft, and the desire to share something worth tasting.
Signature dish
Emieki is a homestyle Edo/Esan dish rather than a widely commercialized street food. It is often prepared for family meals and carries nostalgic value for many people from the region. It is typically eaten on its own or sometimes alongside other local foods.
It stands out as a clever use of plantains — turning very ripe ones that might otherwise spoil into a satisfying, portable steamed dish.
